The superstar singer from Spain stepped out in an all-white sculptured creation by Olivier Rousteing at Balmain: “I’m his mannequin.”
She may be one of the world’s fastest rising music superstars but when it comes to that other new job of hers — as an actress making her Hollywood debut on the third season of Euphoria — Rosalía admits that she’s just “trying to not forget my lines.”
During an interview on the Met Gala carpet on Monday night, Rosalía told Vogue live stream co-hosts Teyana Taylor and Ego Nwodim that the foray has been educational thus far. “It’s my first job. I’m learning. I’m figuring it out,” she said while standing next to designer Olivier Rousteing, who designed her form-fitting creation for fashion’s biggest night. “It’s been very inspiring to be with these amazing actors. It’s great.”

The interview comes hot on the heels of photos and videos that surfaced from the set showing Rosalía in an embellished neck brace riding in a green convertible alongside series regular Alexa Demie.
The casting was confirmed in February by HBO on Instagram with a carousel of images and a statement from Rosalía herself. “If there’s anything that excites me as much as creating a good melody or writing a great lyric, it’s becoming a better performer every day,” Rosalía said in a statement. “Euphoria has been my favorite series over the last few years and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to be acting alongside all of these incredibly talented people that I admire so much and contributing my ‘granito de arena’ to bring Sam [Levinson’s] vision to reality to make magic. I can’t wait to share what we’re doing!!!”
As for the magic made on Monday night, Rosalía was quick to credit Rousteing for the custom creation. “I’m his mannequin,” she said in an all-white sculptural Balmain piece that fit her body like a glove. Per the house, it was created from glossy, flocked silicone and molded precisely to Rosalía’s silhouette and completed by a draped faille skirt.Rousteing revealed that he was inspired by the “tailored for you” theme to create something that was inspired by a mannequin or “the beginning of the creation.”
The Met Gala serves as the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual marquee fundraiser. This year’s installment celebrates the Costume Institute’s spring fashion exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which draws inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. The evening’s theme, given to guests and stylists as a way to interpret the dress code, was “Tailored for you.” Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams are the 2025 co-chairs alongside Vogue’s Anna Wintour and honorary chair LeBron James (who pulled out last minute, citing a knee injury).
